Together with three partners and hundreds of volunteers, he has scared over 250,000 guests in Dystopia Haunted House in Vejle since 2014. Tickets are sold online only, and in the early years the sales ran through a system Dystopia had built themselves.\n\nIt was heavy going. Operation, maintenance and bug fixing sat with a team that would rather build sets. And one day it turned out the system had counted wrong. Dystopia had sold markedly fewer tickets than there was room for, night after night.\n\n\"We have tried different ticketing systems and are glad to have found Tickethero. It is simpler than what we tried before,\" says Jonas. \"It is important for us to have a system that always works, since we sell our tickets exclusively online.\"\n",{"heading":24,"text":25},"A haunted house is not sold like a concert","Guests go in as small groups all evening, and not everyone wants the same scare. So Dystopia sells times rather than seats, so there are enough guests for every group all evening, and never more than the actors can take in. Three fear levels and an R.I.P. ticket that skips the queue sit as ticket types in the same sale.\n\nAnd then there are the volunteers. Without them, no Dystopia, as Jonas puts it, and they get free tickets as thanks for their work. That used to be a job in itself. Now it is a discount code.\n\n\"Tickethero's discount code feature makes it easy for us to handle discount codes for our volunteers.\"\n",{"heading":27,"text":28},"Hours saved, and you can feel it on the bottom line","At the door the volunteers scan the tickets on ordinary smartphones, and the groups are sent in on time. All season long, Dystopia can follow the sales for each evening and each level, and the same figures are used when planning next season.\n\n\"We save so many hours on administering our events since we switched to Tickethero. Our conversion rate has risen markedly, and you can feel it on the bottom line. None of them has bought a ticket. They are invited, and they are invited to different things. Some to the opening itself, some to the reception afterwards, some to dinner and a night at the castle. The members of KLUB have their own evening, and the board and the city council have their own list.\n\nThat is a guest list with five layers, and it has to be right on the day. Invitations by e-mail and replies by e-mail give you a spreadsheet that someone has to keep up to date until the evening, and that is still wrong at the door.\n\n\"Good hospitality is our DNA and must be reflected in everything we do,\" says Nanna Ebert, Head of Communications at The Royal Danish Collection. \"So our ticketing system has to match the good experience we give our visitors when they visit Koldinghus.\"\n",{"heading":160,"text":161},"One guest list per invitation, all in one place","In Tickethero, The Royal Danish Collection sets up each opening as hidden events with free tickets.
