We are happy to talk about what tickets cost in Denmark, and why associations pay a subscription for sign-ups they could have for free. Call Jesper Holst for background, quotes or an interview.

How to describe Tickethero

Both descriptions may be quoted verbatim.

Short

Tickethero is a Danish ticketing system for events of every size. Free events cost DKK 0, and paid tickets cost 3.2 % + DKK 4 excl. VAT per ticket, with no subscription and no lock-in.

Long

Tickethero is a Danish ticketing system for events of every size. Organisers set up their own events and sell tickets online and at the door, by card and MobilePay. Free events cost DKK 0, and paid tickets cost 3.2 % + DKK 4 excl. VAT per ticket, with no subscription and no lock-in. Andreas Herss and Jesper Holst founded the company in 2019 and run it from Vejle.

How it started

Tickethero began in 2019 as a job for a customer who needed ticketing built for their own events. The work showed Andreas Herss and Jesper Holst how the ticketing trade does its sums, and how hard it can be for an organiser to see what selling tickets costs and what the guest is charged on top. So they built a system where the price sits in one place, and where free events cost nothing.

Today the system is used for haunted houses, Christmas concerts, town festivals, talks, tournaments, annual general meetings and festivals. The company is owned by its two founders and has no investors and no foreign parent company.

Pricing

  • Paid tickets cost 3.2 % + DKK 4 excl. VAT per ticket.
  • The fee sits on the ticket by default, so selling tickets costs the organiser nothing. The organiser can choose to pay it instead.
  • Free events cost DKK 0 however many people sign up.
  • No subscription, no setup fee, no notice period.
  • Phone support Monday to Friday, 9-15 on +45 69 16 20 30, at no extra cost.

What we are happy to comment on

  • Fees in the ticketing industry and what they cover.
  • Why associations and cultural venues pay a subscription for sign-ups they could have for free.
  • MobilePay and how Danes pay when they buy a ticket.
  • What happens technically when an event sells out in minutes.
  • Attendee lists, personal data and what an organiser is actually responsible for.

We give interviews in Danish and English.

Use the logo as it is. Do not stretch it, do not recolour it, and give it space on a calm background. On a photo, use the white version.

The name

Tickethero is written as one word with a capital T and a lowercase h. Not TicketHero, not Ticket Hero.
